WHAT WE DO: Support the development of abilities to communicate powerfully in a creative space. Trust of one’s own voice, abilities, and creative joys are supported and protected. “Writing” but in new ways for a yet unknowable future.
BEST FOR KIDS WHO: have a story to tell, a point to make, a lesson to teach, or an audience to inspire. Have a vision of a future when they can use storytelling tools they haven’t yet used enough, but could use a space to practice. Have said, “I wouldn’t be failing English class if it didn’t mean….fill in the blank.” (Happy to appeal to the school for you too!)
ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSION: The space is big on purpose so kids can sit or stand or pace or lounge. Snacks, breaks, and freedom to physically or vocally stim are welcome. AAC’s and other tools are welcome too. No judgement for meltdowns. Needs prioritized, tools practiced. As of right now we are not wheelchair accessible. We ARE raising funds to make it accessible and we invite donations!
